AMNUEL, PAVEL, b. 1944, lives in Baku, Graduated from the department of physics of Azerbaijan University; works as senior researcher at the observatory in Shamahah. Has published forty scientific studies. His literary works began to appear in 1959 and include numerous stories, among them A Steep Slope and Drops of Stellar Light.

Some of his stories have been translated into German and Bulgarian.
